Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • How do I place an order?
    • Simply complete the form and click the “Submit” button.
  • What are my payment options?
    • Payments are made through Paypal, after an invoice is sent directly to the customers. (The customer does not need a PayPal account to pay the invoice.)
      There are two options available with Paypal:
      • Half-Down Deposit: A 50% deposit is required to reserve a spot on the calendar, and is needed for any artwork to begin. The remaining balance will be due upon completion of the painting.
      • Full Payment: Some customers prefer to have the option to pay in full. This option saves customers money, as we will honor your commitment with a 10% discount that is immediately applied to the original price quote. On the commissions form, customers can choose which option works best. 
  • How does the painting process work?
    • An initial sketch is sent over for Review & Approval 
    • Once approved, the painting is worked on until completion 
    • A digital proof of the painting is sent for approval (unless requested as surprise)
    • The painting is finalized & delivered
  • How long does the process take?
    • The entire process takes 4-6 weeks depending on the complexity of the painting and the number of clients ahead you on the artist’s calendar.
  • How will I be receiving my painting?
    • All artwork will be delivered to the address of your choice. Shipping is free locally. Special arrangements can be made by request but may incur additional costs. 
  • What is the refund/cancellation policy?
    • We are honored that you chose Starvos The Artist to create your special memories, and we pride ourselves in ensuring your complete satisfaction. Though All Sales of Commissions are Final, we understand that things happen. If the artwork provided is damaged in any way during shipping, please contact us immediately, and provide photos of the damage work so we can replace the art. Outside of physical damage during shipping, no exchanges or refunds are available on commissions.
  • How do I contact the artist with more questions?

  • How do I choose the best Canvas Size?
    • Your satisfaction is key. When choosing a size, think of the space where you will be displaying the artwork. Also, consider the amount of subjects(i.e. people, pets, etc.) that you want to see depicted. The more subjects chosen for a painting, the more time the artist will need to complete it, which will raise the costs.
  • What type of photos should be submit?
    • Choose photos that you love and will be inspired to see as painting. Photos should be clear and in focus to capture the best features of your loved one and ensure a quality painting. All photos will need to be submitted via email(art@starvostheartist.com) and approved for use by the artist before the painting begins.
